Card Idea Number One:

You'll need card stock or construction paper (Most craft sections should have blank cardstock cards with envelopes, a pack or two of those would give you a small stash of nice bases for cards. But regular paper will work too.), a photo of Dad, some "royal" stickers/scrapbooking bits/rhinestones, glue or double sided tape, and some crayons or markers.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced cardmaker we know you will find something here for you. We have tips on using cardmaking supplies, tools, and more.

Glue Dad's photo on the front of the card, trim it down first if you need. Add your embellishments and stickers to make Dad look like a king. Give him a crown and use the small rhinestones on it. You could even draw a throne behind him.

And on the inside you could write, "King for the Day. Happy Fathers Day Dad!"

Custom made cards deserve custom envelopes! Don't forget to make a matching envelope for the Awesome card you just made for your Father.

Card Idea Number Two:

You will need a bank card or paper to make a blank one your self, finger paints, and some crayons or markers. Oh, this may be a bit messy, so get some newspaper to put down first!

This one is more of a card for the kids to make. Pour some finger paint onto plates and have the kids put hand prints all over the inside & outside of their card. While the paint dries, ask the kids to think up a funny Fathers day poem to go on the card. Help them if they need help writing their poem down & signing it.

While you have the paint and paper out, you can make envelopes and wrapping paper to match.

Card Idea Number Three:

If you scrapbook, I'll bet you have lots of leftovers to use for cards. Scrapbook layouts and scrapbooking magazines are great places to look for Fathers day card ideas. Also look through your photos for good ones to use. Any photos of Dad holding the kids as babies are really good. Also, they can be taken to the photo lab to be copied so you're not cutting up your originals.

"Remember your First Fathers Day?" would be great with one of those Father & Baby pics.
