Ramadan Mabrook!
Ramadan lanterns, or Fanoos, can be a beautiful way to decorate your home for ramadan. You can do simple construction paper lanterns or fancier ones if you know how to solder and make staned glass panels.

A couple ideas for your own lamp.
For a construction paper lantern you will need: Construction paper, glue or paste, wax paper, crayons or markers, and scissors. You may also want a bit of cardboard for a sturdy surface if you plan to use tea candles inside the lamp. Remember, paper is flammable, so you may want to use a small flashlight instead.
Build the frame of your Fanoos with the construction paper and glue. Color the wax paper how ever you like, then cut it to fit in the openings in your frame. Glue your wax paper into the openings. Remember to leave a way to put your light into the lamp!
Hang it wherever you like.
If you make stained glass art as a hobby, you could use that to make very nice Ramadan lanterns to use every year.
New Idea! Those glow stick bracelets can be used to make a lantern that will glow for one night. Use cardboard circles to hold the glow bands in a lantern shape. This is done by using diferent size circles with holes punched around near the edges to thread the glow bracelets through. One glow bracelet can be used as a ring to hang it from.
Larger lanterns can be made using the necklace sized glow bands.
