First Fathers Day crafts

My son's first Fathers day will be this year (2009). I want to make it special for his Dad because they don't celebrate Fathers day in Iraq. It'll be his 1st Fathers day too.

They both get their first Fathers day in 2009.

Ready for some craft ideas for first Fathers day gifts?

Try making Dad a plaster hand print or foot print to hang in his office or work shop. If you make one every year you can pair them up with that years' school photo.

Definately make the new father a handmade fathers day card. A card with a necktie made from baby print fabric or paper would be cute. Baby can sign it with a smudgy hand print.

Making Dad a photo pencil holder would be nice. You can decopage a nice fabric or patterned paper on the can and photo frame, then when its dry glue the frame to the can. Put Dad's favorite photo of him with the new little one in it.

Don't forget the new Grandfathers! You can make them each a "#1 Grandpa" baby photo brag book/ scrapbook to show off to all their friends. They're gonna do it anyways, so why not give them a custom, hand made book to hand around? You may want to laminate the cover so it'll stand up to the use.
